Selected data protection methods used by the Operator
Login and personal data entry locations are protected at the transmission layer (SSL certificate). As a result, personal data and login information entered on the site are encrypted on the user’s computer and can only be read on the destination server.
Personal data stored in the database is encrypted in such a way that only the Operator with the key can read it. This ensures that the data is protected in case the database is stolen from the server.
User passwords are stored in a hashed form. The hashing function works in a one-way manner – it is not possible to reverse its operation, which is currently the modern standard for storing user passwords.
Two-factor authentication is used in the service, which provides an additional form of protection for logging into the Service.
The operator periodically changes its administrative passwords.
In order to protect data, the Operator regularly performs backups.
An essential element of data protection is the regular updating of all software used by the Operator for processing personal data, which particularly means regular updates of software components.

Essential marketing techniques
The operator uses statistical analysis of traffic on the site through Google Analytics (Google Inc. based in the USA). The operator does not transfer personal data to the operator of this service, only anonymized information. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user’s end device. Regarding information about user preferences collected by the Google advertising network, the user can view and edit information resulting from cookies using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/
The operator uses remarketing techniques that allow for the adaptation of advertising messages to the user’s behavior on the site, which may give the illusion that the user’s personal data is being used to track them; however, in practice, no personal data is transferred from the operator to advertising operators. The technological condition for such activities is that cookie support is enabled.
The operator uses the Facebook pixel. This technology allows Facebook (Facebook Inc. based in the USA) to know that a registered person is using the Service. In this case, it is based on data for which it is the administrator; the Operator does not pass any additional personal data to Facebook. The service relies on the use of cookies on the user’s end device.
The operator uses a solution that examines user behavior by creating heat maps and recording behavior on the site. This information is anonymized before being sent to the service operator so that they do not know which individual it pertains to. In particular, recorded data does not include typed passwords and other personal data.
The Operator uses a solution that automates the operation of the Service in relation to users, e.g., it can send an email to the user after visiting a specific subpage, provided that they have consented to receive commercial correspondence from the Operator.
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text information in the form of text files, sent by the server and stored on the device of the person visiting the Service (e.g. on the hard drive of a computer, laptop, or in the memory of a smartphone). Detailed information about cookies, as well as the history of their creation, can be found, among others, here: http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciasteczko. The Service uses the following types of cookies:
- “session” or “temporary” cookies, which are related to the session and are stored on the user’s device until they leave the website;
- “persistent” cookies that remain in the browser after the session ends (unless deleted by the user);
- third party cookies, originating from advertising servers of entities cooperating with the Service.
- The administrator may process data contained in Cookies while visitors use the schelinger.eu website for the following purposes:
- By default, most web browsers available on the market accept the saving of Cookies. Everyone has the option to specify the conditions for using Cookies through their own web browser settings. This means that one can, for example, partially restrict (e.g., temporarily) or completely disable the ability to save Cookies – in the latter case, however, this may affect the limitation of some functionalities of the Service.
- Browser settings regarding Cookies are important from the perspective of consent to the use of Cookies by the Service – according to regulations, such consent can also be expressed through the browser settings. In the absence of such consent, the browser settings regarding Cookies should be appropriately changed.
- Detailed information about changing settings related to Cookies and their manual deletion in the most popular web browsers is available in the web browser’s help section and on the following pages (just click on the given link): Please provide the HTML text you would like me to translate from Polish to English.
- The administrator also processes anonymized operational data related to the use of the Service (IP address, domain) to generate statistics helpful in administering the Service. This data is aggregated and anonymous, i.e., it does not contain identifying features of the individuals visiting the Service’s page. This data is not disclosed to third parties.
Final Provisions
No identifying data or personal data is collected on behalf of a third party.
Data may be shared with external entities only within the limits permitted by law.
Data allowing the identification of an individual is provided only with the consent of that individual.
